1) Scope
This policy applies to the BatiQuant website and the BatiQuant Android mobile application. It describes the categories of data that may be processed, the purposes of processing, the third-party services that may be involved, the retention periods and the rights available to users.
2) Data that may be processed
- Project and calculation data: dimensions, areas, quantities, prices, entered parameters, estimates, jobsite items and user preferences.
- Locally stored data: projects, settings and backups stored on your device or in your browser.
- Technical data: device type, browser, app version, error logs, performance data and information needed to secure the service.
- Consent data: your choices regarding cookies, analytics and advertising.
- Advertising data: depending on your device and your choices, advertising identifiers, cookies or signals related to ad delivery and measurement may be used.
- In-app purchase data: for the Android application, Google Play may process information related to purchases, purchase restoration or ad removal.
3) Source and storage
Project and calculation data is mainly generated from information you enter. On the website and in the application, a significant portion of this data is stored locally on your device so the tools can operate correctly, your projects can be resumed and some preferences can be remembered.
When data is stored locally, it is not automatically sent to a BatiQuant server. You can remove it using the features available in the service, by clearing your browser storage or by deleting the application data from your device.
4) Purposes and legal bases
- Provide the BatiQuant tools: calculations, estimates, display, local saving, exports and preference management.
- Ensure security and proper operation: abuse prevention, error detection, maintenance and service improvement.
- Manage consent: storing your choices regarding cookies, trackers and advertising.
- Display advertising: on supported surfaces and according to your choice when consent is required.
- Manage in-app purchases: activation or restoration of the Android ad removal option via Google Play.
- Measure audience: if this function is enabled and only according to the selected configuration and your consent when required.
The legal bases that may be used include performance of the service, legitimate interest, compliance with legal obligations and, where necessary, your consent.
5) Cookies, trackers and consent
The website may use cookies or similar technologies for operation, preference storage, analytics and advertising. Non-essential trackers are subject to your consent when required. You can change your choices at any time using the consent management mechanisms provided by BatiQuant.
6) Third-party services that may be used
- Website hosting: Vercel Inc. for website hosting and delivery.
- Advertising: Google Ads / AdMob solutions or equivalent partners, depending on the platform used and the active configuration.
- Analytics: Google tools or equivalent services if enabled and only according to the applicable consent rules.
- Android in-app purchases: Google Play Billing for in-app purchases such as ad removal.
- App store: Google Play may process data required for distribution, downloading, licensing and billing of the application.
Third-party services may act either as technical processors or as independent controllers, depending on their role. Their own privacy policies may also apply.
7) Recipients of the data
Depending on the nature of the data, it may be accessible to the BatiQuant publisher, technical providers required for hosting or maintenance, and advertising, analytics or payment providers when their services are enabled and authorised.
8) Transfers outside the European Union
Some technical or advertising providers may be located outside the European Economic Area. In that case, appropriate safeguards may be implemented, for example standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms offered by the relevant providers.
9) Retention periods
- Locally stored project data: until deletion by the user or clearing of local data.
- Technical data and logs: retained only for the time needed for security, diagnosis and maintenance.
- Consent data: retained for a period proportionate to preference management and applicable obligations.
- Advertising and analytics data: according to the retention period of the third-party tools used and your choices.
10) Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are implemented to protect the service, limit unauthorised access and reduce the risks of loss, alteration or unauthorised disclosure of data. No technical solution offers absolute security, and you should also protect your device, browser and access credentials.
11) Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, rectification, deletion, restriction or objection regarding certain processing operations. When data is stored locally on your device, the most direct way to exercise your rights may be to delete that data from the application, your browser or your device settings.
For any privacy or data-related request, you can contact aide.client.fr@gmail.com.
12) Complaint
If you believe that your rights are not respected, you may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, including the CNIL in France.
13) Policy updates
This policy may change to reflect service updates, legal obligations or the third-party services used. The version published at this address is the reference version for external uses and for the public URL used by the application.
